Franklin was born on the small island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. (in the Caribbean.) From his youth Franklin has been passionate about many things. His diverse interests include art, health and natural healing, traditional movement practices including martial arts, agriculture, natural living, language, and culture.
These interests have led him around the world- living in the United States and Asia and visiting many other places. Although his interests are diverse they form what can be considered an integral part of the human condition. They enrich and better people's lives. The goal should not just be to profit for one's self but instead to use your wisdom and knowledge to not only benefit yourself but to enrich and better those around you, leaving the world in a state that is better then what you found it in. Franklin believes that if more people would adopt this mentality then not only would individuals be happier, healthier, and more fulfilled but we would be able to enact real change on our communities and the world at large.
